TO OUR STAKEHOLDERS

Dear Stakeholders

Platinum Media Group was built on the tenets of service and excellence and is today, among the most respected names in the media industry. Through this legacy, we have been providing high quality media products aimed at empowering our consumers.
Over the last three years, PMG has experienced significant growth. Just this month (November), our shares were up by 24 points and are significantly constant. They stand at Ksh 245.35 per share. This in the wake of a harsh economic downturn that has seen other media houses downsize their employees and lose profits. Our values and commitment to our employees has seen us through these tough times and has helped to position us for the future. Our promise, is to be there for the long-term.

At PMG, we aim to create a stimulating and exciting work environment that encourages employee creativity and generates better results, and at the same time strengthen the communities in which we operate.

The changing Kenyan media landscape helps to keep the organization on its toes as we aim to be visionaries, anticipating these changes and challenges before they are felt in the industry. This is such as the growth of internet and digital publications.

Currently, our team of IT experts and web developers are in the process of working on an online newspaper version of The Daily Patriot. We feel that by enabling the newspaper have web presence, the company will be able to realise higher profits by gaining new audiences both in print and online through cross promotion.

In addition, as you all know, we are about to launch a television station called National Broadcasting Network (NBN). It will broadcast both local and international content and will have daily comprehensive news coverage. The station is on the eighth floor of our building on Upperhill road in Upperhill Nairobi. The organization has been able to secure excellent media practitioners to the station and one of our primary goals is to frequently carry out research on what our clients and consumers want to watch on the station.

We would also like to inform you that the Annual General Meeting has been set for the 10th of December at our conference hall in our office building. Please attend so that we can discuss the progress of this company that would be nonexistent if it weren't for your support.
